Main Effort Belief System

Pillars (What holds you up)
Physical Fitness
Your body is your primary tool and your physical fitness is the foundation.
Physical fitness isn’t about appearance. It’s about capability. Strength, endurance, mobility, and health prepare you for life’s demands.
A capable body enhances your ability to lead, serve, and perform. It also gives you the confidence that you can do hard things.

Mental Resiliency
Every decision begins and ends in our minds.
Resilience is the ability to move forward in the face of adversity. It's the decision to keep going when you have every excuse not to. Keep your mind right and stay focused on your goal. You decide.
— Together, these two pillars form the backbone of being the Main Effort.

Principles (How you live)
Forward Progress is Mandatory
The Main Effort logo combines the letters “M”and “E”into a forward-pointing arrow.
It represents our continuous direction of attack.
Things may not go as planned or go in our favor. Life will bring setbacks, failures, uncertainty, injuries, and adversity. We can’t control every situation or event, but we always control how we respond.
Always forward, never backwards.

Bias for Action
The perfect conditions rarely exist. Waiting for certainty often becomes another form of procrastination. We gather the best information available, make a decision, and execute.
Take the initiative now. Action creates momentum.
Indecisiveness will only delay progress.

For Those Others Depend On
Everyone has a responsibility.
For some, that responsibility is to family.
For others, it’s to their community, team, or country. For everyone, it is to ourself.
Invest in yourself — your own growth and success will undoubtedly make you more dependable for those that are counting on you.
Every early morning.
Every late night.
Every decision.
Lead yourself first.
Become a better version of you, so you can better serve those you are responsible for.
YOU ARE THE MAIN EFFORT
